My name is Angelina Balahay Gabad, and I am the wife of Gaddiel D. Gabad, who works as a construction worker. We are blessed with four daughters: Andiella Mhae, Mica, Elaiza, and Bella. Two of our daughters have been given the opportunity to become scholars of the Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita Foundation, and for that, our family will always be grateful.

Our first scholar was our eldest daughter, Andiella Mhae. She was only in Grade 2 when she became part of the sponsorship program. At that time, life was very difficult for our family. As parents, we always wanted to give our children a good education, but there were many days when we worried about how we would pay for their school needs while also providing for our daily expenses. Through the Foundation’s scholarship program and the generosity of our sponsors, Andiella was able to continue her education with hope and determination. She worked hard to make the most of the opportunity she was given and graduated Cum Laude during the School Year 2024–2025 from Bestlink College of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Today, she is working as a non-voice BPO associate at Accenture.

The scholarship became a blessing that came at the perfect time. It eased the financial burden that we were carrying and gave us hope that, despite our struggles, our daughter could continue her education without having to worry so much about school expenses.

A few years later, our third daughter, Elaiza, also became a scholar when she was in Grade 3, around 2016, if I remember correctly. It was another answered prayer for our family. Seeing another one of our children receive the same opportunity filled our hearts with so much joy and gratitude. Today, she is an incoming second-year college student at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Manila, taking up a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management. We are incredibly proud of how far she has come and remain deeply thankful for the opportunities that have helped shape her future.

The Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita Foundation has been a tremendous blessing to our family. During some of the hardest times in our lives, when every peso had to be carefully budgeted, your support made a real difference. My husband’s income as a construction worker was often not enough to cover all of our family’s needs, especially with four daughters to raise. Because of your generosity, we were able to provide for our children’s education with less worry and more hope.

Your support was not only financial. More importantly, you gave our children confidence, encouragement, and the motivation to dream bigger. Knowing that there were people who believed in them inspired them to study harder and appreciate the opportunities they were given. As parents, nothing makes us happier than seeing our children continue their education and work toward a brighter future.

There were moments when we felt overwhelmed by the challenges of life, but your kindness reminded us that we were not alone. You became part of our family’s journey, and your generosity gave us strength to keep moving forward. Because of the opportunities you provided, our daughters learned the value of hard work, gratitude, and perseverance.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita Foundation for your compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping families like ours. The impact you have made in our lives goes far beyond financial assistance. You have given our children hope, opened doors for their future, and reminded us that kindness can truly change lives.

We will always be grateful for everything you have done for our family. May God continue to bless everyone in the foundation with good health, strength, and abundant blessings so that you can continue touching the lives of many more children and families, just as you have touched ours.

Thank you for allowing God to use you as instruments of His love, kindness, and provision for families like ours.
