I, Diana-Ann C. Nuera, was a former scholar of KKMK Foundation from elementary school until I graduated from college in the year 2016 with a degree in Bachelor of Entrepreneurship, majoring in Marketing. I am a product of a broken family, and as a single parent, my mother struggled to support our daily needs, especially our school expenses. Despite facing challenges, her perseverance led her to apply for scholarships for her children, and I am one of the fortunate ones who received the opportunity and assistance needed for my studies, including school supplies, books, and tuition during college.

I had the chance to meet my sponsor during a Christmas party organized by the Ateneo Grade 5 students in the Dumagat section. We introduced ourselves and had some enjoyable moments. I always brought home a bucket of groceries from both the Ateneo students and the KKMK Foundation. Poverty is the main reason why many children in Payatas do not pursue education; instead, they aim to assist their parents in providing for the family.

The Foundation truly brings hope to children who are willing and eager to study but lack the necessary resources. I am immensely blessed and thankful that the Lord sent us the KM Foundation, which supported my mother in providing for my educational needs until I graduated from college. Eight years after graduating, I am currently working in Taiwan as a technical support specialist in an electronic company. I have been able to support and provide for my family, as well as assist my siblings with their educational needs.

I hope and pray for more helping hands to support KKMK Foundation in achieving and fulfilling its mission for children deprived of opportunities in Payatas and other places.”
